We had a great time with the friends and fans last night at A Third Place cafe and pub! Thanks so much to those that braved the wind and rain (not to mention tornado warnings!) to come enjoy some fine food and bluegrass! It's such a great feeling to see a large crowd come out and support bluegrass in Central Florida. Thanks to everyone, hope to see you all real soon!

November 10 & 11, 2007
New River spent a cool and sunny Veteran's Day weekend performing at the 55th Annual Florida Folk Festival at the Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs. Those who were able to attend I'm sure will agree that the daytime temperatures were a welcome deviation from the norm (The Folk Festival, one of America's oldest and largest, is usually held over Memorial Day weekend, but was rescheduled this year due to the spring wild fire situation). We had a great time - in addition to our stage sets on Saturday and Sunday, we had a chance to do some "after hours" picking back at the musician's campground (Thanks to MT Pawkets for the hospitality and the hot campfire jammin' on a cold Saturday night !). November 3 & 4, 2007
The Barberville Fall Festival was better than ever this year - the weather was near perfect and the audiences both days were terriffic! We truly enjoy playing in the Old Church and the Barn -- "unplugged" and "up-close". For those who were able to attend - Thanks! We had a blast playing, and appreciate your enjoyment and support of bluegrass music and New River!

New Face With New River
Folks who have been at some of our past concerts or have followed us over time will recognize a new face in the line-up. New River Bluegrass is proud to announce the addition of upright bassist Daisy Millett to the group -- and although Daisy may be new to New River, she's no newcomer to bluegrass and old-time music, as evident in her fluid and energetic bass style. Welcome Aboard Daisy!

Those of you who have attended one of our recent performances have probably heard us mention a new CD project which is in the works -- recording and production is progressing, and we're hoping to usher in the new year with the new CD ready for release.
